Flame Sculpture

A Darrian art form. Developed before the super-nova which destroyed interstellar interaction in that region for 700 years. Initially, techniques were invented to shape flame using gravitic technology, application being in such things as cutting torches. However, it was discovered that the flames could be molded, and artisans began practising this new art. Busts, landscapes, and other 3-D subjects were sculpted in flame, along with letters, company names and logos. As with many Darrian artifacts, those created before the disaster (known as Early sculpture) are considered the best, and are all simple in form, with the rarest being sculpted while the Darrian worlds struggled to survive (known as Maghiz) Modern sculpture is far more complex than the older forms, and is less prized by art lovers.
